Elders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State under the aegis of the “PDP for Progress” have urged delegates to vote for Jimi Agbaje as the national chairman of the party at the forthcoming National Convention holding in Rivers State.
This was disclosed in a communiqué issued by the conveners of the group across the three senatorial districts. The conveners are Engr Kamar Giwa (Lagos Central), Alhaji Waliu Ishola Hassan (Lagos East), and Chief (Mrs) Folake Philips (Lagos West). The elders praised Agbaje for mustering enough courage and also yielding to the call of the progressive party members across the nooks and crannies of the country to contest for the exalted position.
The group pointed out that the party is in need of a directional change that will endear it to the hearts of political oriented Nigerians. Consequently, the group alluded to the integrity and transparent attitude embedded in Agbaje as a joker to change the fortunes of the party and retake power from the All Progressive Congress come 2019.
The elders vowed to commence local government to local government campaign in order to woo delegates and sell his vision to the good members of the party.
